How does it work?
The referral process is simple if you have concerns about the safety of your rented houses, contact the SAFE Project and we will send you out a booking form for you to list the proprties you want assessed. As long as you rent these houses out to students there is no limit on the number of houses we can assess.
Once we have recieved your booking form a time is arranged with the occupants and yourself for the assessment. Fully trained handy men from the Leicester City Council’s Burglary Prevention Team will visit the property at the agreed time to carry out the assessment of what security equipment is needed in the property and fit the equipment on the same day. The average assessment and fitting lasts approx 2-3 hours maximum. There are no call out charges and all equipment is fitted completly free of charge.
