BTCV

BTCV (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers), organise weekly conservation tasks in green areas and habitats around Leicestershire. Transport and full training provided.

Opportunities: Conservation volunteer, Riverside Rangers and Project Leaders

Times: Weekly tasks, no regular commitment is required 


Complete Wasters

Complete wasters are a community not-for-project organisation who look for volunteers to help out with environmental projects.

Opportunities: Gardener, Drivers Mate, Maintenance Person and Summer Concerts and Events Helper.

Times:
Eco Centre open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Times to suit.


Fosse Recreation User Group

The Fosse Recreation group is a community group made up of volunteers and local residents who take responsibility for the Fosse Recreation Ground and park in Leicester. This green area is a key community space which requires maintaining through regular clean up and conservation activities. Volunteers are needed to assist with clean ups and park developments.

Opportunity: Conservation Volunteer, Newsletter Editor

Times: Various 


Groundwork Leicester

Groundwork is a local environmental charity who run numerous practical conservation tasks in and around Leicestershire. Transport and full training provided.

Opportunities: To assist practical conservation work, taking place over a full day

Times: You can volunteer regularly or just once in a while, no on-going commitment is required


Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust

LRWT is working for the protection and enhancement of Leicestershire and Rutland's wildlife and wild places. They are dedicated to securing a better future for wildlife and improvig people's understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of wildlife.

They are seeking volunteers to carry out a wide range of pratical tasks on their many nature reserves. Interested volunteers need to call ahead of the task taking place to ensure places are available and to gain information on the task location.

Opportunity: Practical Reserves Volunteer

Times: Tasks run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Normally 9.30am - 3.30pm.
