Active Training & Education (ATE)
ATE is a non-for-profit organisation that runs children's holidays at Easter and over the summer vacation. Monitors are assigned their own group and participate in all of the activities and day trips. The aim of the project is to get children outdoors and improve their confidence and communication skills through games, arts and crafts and team challenges.

Ashmount RDA
Ashmount RDA provides horse riding for pupils of Ashmount special school in Loughborough. They ride every Friday morning in term time from 10.30 to 11.30 and have pupils of different ages and disabilities.

Bikes 4 All
Groundwork’s Bikes 4 All is an award winning community bike enterprise, providing a wide range of cycle related activities, services and opportunities. Bikes 4 all are looking for volunteers to support students involved in their project and help them to improve their literacy and numeracy.

Catch 22
Catch 22 run a “Fit and Active Families” project which works with 8-15 year olds who are struggling with their weight .Through the programme they deliver a range of activities and interventions that help these youngsters to take on a healthier lifestyle. They do this by raising their self esteem and personal image, informing them about healthy food choices and encouraging them to become active in sport.

CLASH
CLASH is a local charity who provide support services and activities to people suffering with arthritis. They offer a children’s activity session for those children whose family members are affected by the condition which runs monthly at the Peepul Centre.

Coram Adoption Service
This project is looking for volunteers to meet up with children and young people's groups 4-6 times a year (on Saturdays) for support sessions. These sessions involve games, arts & crafts, drama & video and a trip out of the office with the aim of building friendships between adopted children and to provide a soundboard. There are also opportunities to offer one off sessions to a group if you have a talent you would like to share and opportunities to help out on week long holidays.

Diversity Hub
Diversity hub is a leadership-training organisation that aims to give individuals and groups the skills and tools they need to take a leadership role within their communities and to develop an effective voice. The Making a Difference project is a volunteering project for people aged 16-25 to make a difference in their communities by reducing bullying through a number of volunteer opportunities.

GREAT Learning Centre
The centre uses the world of sport to motivate city and county children to improve skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT. After school clubs run at Leicestershire County Cricket Ground and Beaumanor Hall Education Centre.
Opportunity: Study Coach, to provide support and encouragement to young people to raise academic achievement.
Times: 2 hours per week term time
Interventions
As part of the Leicestershire and Rutland Youth Offending Team they offer support to young people and help to reduce/prevent offending.
Opportunities: Mentor, PACE Volunteer
Times: Mentoring placements can be up to a minimum of 12 weeks for young people seeking short-term help, and also between 3-12 months for more long-term assistance
LEBC Right to Read
LEBC place volunteers in primary schools across Leicestershire to help children develop their reading and literacy skills.
Opportunity: Volunteers will support children on a one to one basis with their reading.
Times: 1 hour per week during term time

These centres offer young people the opportunity to learn in an active environment away from their school, in after school sessions at the Walkers Stadium, Welford Road and the Space Centre.

Leicester Libraries run a number of projects working with children and young people in libraries across the city. Roles include study support volunteers who help run the study support session at each library and summer scheme volunteers who help to set up and run events, do storytelling with children and helping young children access their local library.

Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre
LOPC has been in existence for about 40 years, originally being part of Leicestershire County Council Youth Services, then Leicester City Council Arts and Leisure Department. As a volunteer you will assist the staff members in providing support to children who visit the centre. The role is varied and therefore you could be expected to help with administration duties, assisting with general upkeep of the building and grounds and assisting with the delivery of Holiday scheme and assist instructors where possible with the activity sessions

Mencap
The Melton Mencap Summer Scheme runs for four weeks and provides new experiences and days out for children aged 8-12yrs and 13-18yrs with learning disabilities, enabling them to play, seek adventure, and have fun! Menphys
Menphys provide a range of sport, play and leisure activities to children and young people with special needs. Volunteers are needed to support the Menphys’ Saturday Club for young people, to help members to access the activities and assist the set up and clearing away of equipment. Volunteers are welcome to contribute to the planning of a programme of activities and facilitating their introduction.

Uplands Junior School
Uplands believe that a child's experience should be truly artistic and that theatre practise in schools should adopt a cross curricular approach. The school run a summer school to extend children's learning in designated subjects and to improve the confidence and morale of the student body through performance.Volunteers are needed to support the summer school by supervising students, offering creative input and helping with stage management.

Voluntary Action Melton
Voluntary Action Melton provides a wide range of services directly to the people and communities of Melton Borough. They are currently looking for volunteers to make a real difference to primary age children who may not be doing as well as they should be, either at schools and/or home due to low self-esteem or other issues. They also look for Youth Workers.

YHA deliver a do it 4 real summer camp programme during the school summer holidays. They have a number of volunteering placements available in a number of the camps, providing volunteers with an excellent opportunity to gain some valuable experience working with young people.

Youth Inclusion Programme
