There are four Student Trustees that were elected in March 2008; 2 of these are open places, 1 is the Chair of Student Council and 1 is the Academic Baord Representative. Below is additional information about each of them.

James Ricks

  Hi everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is James and I am a third year undergraduate studying Public Policy Government and Management. I am a great fan of sci-fi espcially Heroes, I also like formula one and cheering Lewis Hamilton and I also take a keen interest in all things political. While I am a Trustee I will defend the constitution of the Union and will encourage the Union to be diverse for all its members.

Sam Grieves

Student Council Chair

This year I am the Chair of the Student Council. It's an exciting task as there are many changes happening at DSU this year and this is the first year there has been a Student Council in place. I'm a fourth year pharmacy student and I am hoping to be continually involved with the women's rugby team. I was also the 2007-08 Student Officer of the Year as LGBT Officer, captain and chair of the women's rugby team. I think that this has given me  invaluable experience to be the chair of your Student Council.
