The climate is changing, what are you doing about it? Today, people all over the world are waking up to some of the most adverse effects caused from climate change - even here in Britain, flash floods is a term we have become all too accustomed to. Saying we don’t have the knowledge, materials or power to make a change is entirely untrue and so here at DSU we have taken up our responsibility and are doing our bit.
From enforcing recycling and reuse around the Students Union, we provide a base from which students can then take on to their own homes. We have introduced Fairtrade coffee machines which many have not noticed but farmers out there are living that much better because of it. Our annual Switch it off campaign and NUS’s student switch off are actively encouraged across campus and student halls all together making DSU a much greener place to be!
